One of the posts that I was most excited to write is precisely this one.

Long story short, we were walking by Tlaquepaque, Jalisco looking for "De Garrafa de Chapalita" ice creams that someone recommended us a lot, and right on that street, I found this little boutique.

Beautifully decorated, just as the Mexican chic decor indicates, small but correctly arranged to appreciate all the pieces they have. The place is full of blouses, t-shirts, skirts, dresses, belts, to armchairs, Ottoman chairs, rugs and more beauties.

(I put an Ottoman chair down here in case they have no idea what I'm talking about.)

One of the things I most appreciate about these brands is the connection with our indigenous Mexican women. Supporting them economically without leaving their communities, family and homes. And putting within reach our legacy of culture, design and tradition.

I found this store in Tlaquepaque, but apparently there is in Tepoztlán, Playa del Carmen and Puebla... oh! and in USA, they have a boutique at MacAllen, Texas. I really recommended you look for brands like these, don't let our colors, our designs, our culture die. Supporting them, we support our indigenous people, designers and also the economy of our country.

But, well, what did I buy? A blouse embroidered with bird motifs, from Jalapa Diaz, Oaxaca, that actually takes a month and a half of embroidery.

And a beautiful tunic by the designer Adela dos Mares, woven by Nahuas women from the Sierra Norte de Puebla. With 5 days of work.

To finish, the good thing: Beautiful clothes, of very good design and quality, that unites us to our roots. The bad: They are not everywhere, and apparently don't have delivery services. (I'm not sure yet) The best: They help Mexican women's communities, the price is right, it’s not cheap but worth it, and there is something for everyone.
